"Today is the day that the Lord has made. Let us rejoice and be glad in it." Psalm 118:24
I have the pleasure of being the 8th grade homeroom teacher as well as teaching the 8th grade religion class (including memory work) and 8th grade language. I also teach the 8th grade pre-Algebra class, as well as math for grades 5, 6, and 7. I have always had a love for math, so I very much enjoy these classes and try to help my students see the joy of working with numbers!
This is my eighteenth year at St. John's Lutheran School. I was the 4th grade teacher here for twelve years and am now in my sixth year with the 8th grade homeroom. Before this, I taught in a 5th and 6th grade combined classroom at the Lutheran School Association in Cole Camp, Missouri, for three years. I also taught algebra part-time for eight years at State Fair Community College in Sedalia, Missouri. Do the math......that's a lot of years in this profession!
I was born and raised in Wapakoneta, Ohio, where my mom still lives in the house my parents built together. I grew up with three brothers, who live with their families in Iowa, Indiana, and southern Ohio. God has also blessed me with two wonderful sons, William and Nathan. William is a corrections officer and Nathan is a student at OSU. (Go Bucks!) I enjoy spending time with them and my fiance, John. I also enjoy reading, taking long walks, and taking trips to see my relatives.
