Interim Performing Arts and Worship Ministry Coordinator
Qualifications - Bachelor Degree in Music with K-8, Ohio Music Certification (if primary instructor for school course) Previous experience in school music instruction, church music, and/or children’s ministry preferred. Able to collaborate with teachers, parents, school administration, and church leadership. Passion for delivering music and drama instruction to a variety of age levels in different contexts. Talent for organizing a busy performance schedule with frequent concerts and worship presentations. The desire to engage students, parents, teachers, and congregants in meaningful worship experiences. Strong technology skills, some audiovisual experience, and a confident vocalist preferred.
Responsibilities - Plan, deliver, and assess standards-based instruction that is relevant, engaging, and appropriate to grade levels K-8. Program contextually and age-appropriate musical performances for school concerts and worship services. Oversee maintenance of school and select church performing arts resources including sheet music library, instrument inventory, stage equipment, props, and costumes, etc, Collaborate with other team members to ensure equipment and audiovisual setup for performances as needed. Encourage congregational and community partnerships through arts programming. Ensure long-term growth of the program through regular evaluation and assessment.
- General Music Teacher Grades K-4, Program for the following performances: Fall Musical, Christmas Collage, Spring Showcase, Spring Concert.
- Performing Arts Teacher Choir 6, Choir 7/8, Band 5/6, Band 7/8, Program for the following performances: Christmas Collage, Spring Showcase, Spring Concert.
- Worship Ministry Weekly chapel, Drama Club Children's Choir
Compensation - This a contracted position that will be paid per class taught. $23 per class to include the general music classes, performing arts classes and worship ministry duties. Up to 25 units are available.
